The Summoning is a place to show up as the character, the class, the legend — whether you pulled it off the shelf or built it from scratch.
Walk the floor in costume, meet other cosplayers, and if you want a shot at the prize, enter the Cosplay Contest in your category.
Contest Categories
Two categories, judged on what makes each one great. Enter in advance so we've got your info ready at check-in.
Purchased
Store-bought, commissioned, or assembled from ready-made pieces. Come as who you want to be — no judgment on the build.
Homemade
Stitched, sculpted, printed, painted, or otherwise built by you. Craftsmanship, creativity, and detail all count.

Family Friendly
The Summoning is a family-friendly event. All costumes must be appropriate for all ages. If an outfit is deemed inappropriate, the participant will be asked to withdraw from the contest and may be asked to change.
Photography & Promotion
You keep full rights to your photos. By entering the contest, you grant The Summoning permission to use photos taken of you at the event to promote this and future Summoning events.
Use Your Legal Name
The application asks for your legal name so we can verify identity at prize claim. Your cosplay name, character, or handle is your call on the day itself.
Props & Accessibility
Props must be safe in a crowded venue — no functional weapons, no real blades, nothing that could injure another attendee. Questions about a specific prop? Get in touch before the event.
